After 50 years in business, Ridgerider in Campbell River will be closing its doors for good.
The owners of the country and western store say they made the decision after their lease rates were increased to the point of making the business unaffordable to continue running. That’s going to disappoint their customers around the world – the owners say they have repeat clients from as far away as Germany and Amsterdam who make it a point to visit whenever they vacation on Vancouver Island to pick up new cowboy boots, hats, and other clothing.
Ridgerider started on the North Island and opened in Campbell River in 1987, where it’s been part of the Pier Street business landscape ever since.
They will be open until February 29 this year, and are thanking all their loyal customers for their support throughout the years.
