QUADRA ISLAND, BC – Quadra Cat Rescue has been reducing the number of unwanted cats for a decade.
The Quadra-based volunteer-run organization is hosting a presentation on all things cats on Wednesday, May 15th.
The event will be held at the Heriot Bay Inn at 7:00 p.m.
According to a release from the organization, Quadra Cat Rescue has also been raising funds and coordinated spaying and neutering, as well as vaccinations for approximately 650 cats and kittens around the island.
The May 15th presentation will highlight what the organization has done.
“We’ll be highlighting what Quadra Cat Rescue has done to date, and the work yet to do, especially with getting pet cats fixed before they can reproduce, and ongoing trapping programs in areas where the cat population has been left unchecked and turned into a colony,” wrote cat rescue volunteer Kristene Perron in the release.
If you miss the presentation and would like more information about homeless cats and kittens, as well as volunteering, fostering, adopting, or making a donation, you can contact Quadra Cat Rescue at 250-285-2287.
