Canyon View Trail closed north of river until end of month

The popular Canyon View Trail on the north side of the Campbell River will be closed until the end of March.

BC Parks says the closure is so damaged boardwalks can be safely removed and rebuilt. The complete loop trail will be inaccessible during this time. The closure will be in place from the north toilet location above the pumphouse to Canyon Bridge.

For the safety of trail users and work crews, people are asked to adhere to all closure measures in place, the work locations are closed to public access.

Trails remain open on the south side of the river. The Millennium Trail, suspension bridge and the ridge and water tower trails remain open in Elk Falls Park.

The work is expected to wrap up on March 28.
