New courses added to Campbell River’s ElderCollege

North Island College says its ElderCollege will be offering 37 in-person courses to students aged 50 and older. These single-day or short-run courses are part of spring programs set to run from March to May, with a variety of topics as part of the programs.

These include art, crafts, city planning, environment, exploring culture, health, history, investing, music, photography, research, technology, travel and writing.

The college says there will be no tests or pressure from the courses, which focus on lifelong learning.

Students must pay a $10 annual fee, with registration beginning February 10.

Before registration, the college will hold an information session on these courses, with refreshments to be served.

The session takes place at the Campbell River campus on February 7, starting at 1:30 p.m.
