With the recent clown threats increasing over social media, School District 72 is advising students and staff not to wear any clown costumes to any school function.
Superintendent Tom Longridge says the district is monitoring the situation in all their schools, and to date there have been no clown-related incidents in the district.
Londgridge says he is saddened that they have to put out this message because there are good clowns in the community and clowns are commonly known to bring joy and happiness to people.
